23 Aug 2014 The thrill of the chase

Although it has been quite a period of time since I last posted on this website.  Over the last few years I have been gaining incredible knowledge and expanding my research skills whilst studying an Advanced Diploma in Local, Family & Applied History studies.

Some may wonder why the month of August is the official National History Month but with more than a quarter of a million Australians now involved with researching their family history it is quite understandable.  With the centenary of our ANZACs and so many television programs revisiting our history only encourages us to think of our family’s history.

Modern technology now provides us with the tools to access information immediately with the use of the internet.  However there is often a piece of information that maybe missing or a name that was transcribed incorrectly that often sends us on an incorrect path to trace our Ancestors.

If you have fallen in love with the thrill of the chase to find out more about your Ancestors and where they came from only to have hit a brick wall please contact me as I get so much pleasure in helping people to complete their family tree.
